Rotary

It is an honor and a privilege to serve as President of the Rotary Club of Davis for the 2025-2026 Rotary year. This is a special year as 2026 marks our 100th year in Davis. We brought Rotary to Davis and now there are three Clubs! We focus on making our community and world a better place for all of us. We are People of Purpose, Action and Fun.

Our Club is committed to community service. In our region, we provide volunteers and/or financial support for worthy causes, such as Meals on Wheels, the Yolo Food Bank, the Yolo Crisis Nursery, Yolo County Children’s Alliance, Cameron’s Place, Empower Yolo, the Salvation Army to name but a few.

We also support the work of the Rotary Foundation and its projects worldwide. We have partnered with Rotary Clubs on a host of projects, including with the City of Davis’ Sister City Uman, Ukraine, and most recently, with the Vacaville Rotary Club’s projectto build water wells in a remote village in Peru. We have supported worthy causes with Sahaya International in Africa and The Wardrobe in Ukraine.

As we look to the future, my goals are to

- Continue to focus on the needs of our Davis community while also to expanding our reach and impact through partnerships with other Rotary Clubs and non-profit organizations;  .
- Continue our signature program to raise awareness and funding in support of ‘child abuse prevention’;
- Reinstate the youth exchange programs and support of youth activities in Davis
- Continue our Annual Celebration of Community with our Annual BBQ in Central Park and work at Rotary’s beer booth at Yolo County Fair;
- Support and leverage with Rotary International Foundation to finally eradicate Polio from the world (Next target: Eradicate Cervical Cancer);
- Support The Rotary Club of Davis Foundation to expand our ability to provide sustainable giving every year to community projects
- Adapt technology to improve communications, efficiency and operations;
- Continue to provide wonderful social events, such as holiday parties, bimonthly get togethers at homes of Rotarians, and field trips to Music Circus and other venues.
- Wholeheartedly welcome new members to our Club.

We would love to have you come to a meeting, check us out and become a member of our Club!
